On 17–18 June, experts from Latvia and Poland will visit Belarus to conduct a workshop on official controls on feed processing establishments and the EU requirements in this sphere. The event will be attended by officials from the country’s Ministry of Agriculture and Food, staff involved in veterinary controls and exporters.

The aim of this workshop is to provide the participants with training on the EU requirements for official controls on feed processing establishments.

The seminar will focus on conducting approval and registration of businesses dealing with feed, certification and export to the EU. The participating operators will get a clear understanding of the obligations regarding the certification, production and marketing of feed, and traceability. The EU experts will explain the requirements for laboratories and official sampling.

The event is being organised by the European Commission’s Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Instrument (TAIEX), in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus.
