On 4 October, the EU and the Council of Europe will visit the Belarusian capital of Minsk to present the results of joint projects for the Eastern Partner countries, including Belarus, conducted in the period 2015 to 2018.
The European Union and the Council of Europe have implemented three country-specific projects in Belarus under the Partnership for Good Governance (PGG) programme in 2015–2018.
The projects focused on raising the awareness and practical knowledge of Belarusian legal professionals and students about the European Convention of Human Rights, promoting the standards of the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages, as well as building capacities of public officials in the field of good governance and fighting corruption.
In addition to these three country-specific projects, Belarus also participates in 14 regional initiatives covering all Eastern Partner countries.
