Young people from Azerbaijan are invited to take part in the third edition of the EuroSchool in one of the country’s regions from 28-30 August 2018. The respective call for applications has been recently announced by the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan.
Participants will have a chance, in an interactive educational environment, to learn more about the EU, its history, fundamental principles and values, the process of alignment and legislative harmonisation, issues relating to energy and the environment, European Neighbourhood Policy, the Eastern Partnership initiative, and EU-Azerbaijan relations.
The EuroSchool also aims at providing the younger generation with a comprehensive understanding of the functioning of the EU institutions in order to promote dialogue, co-operation and mutual respect among young people, to raise awareness of the EU’s role in Azerbaijan, as well as to improve people-to people contacts between the EU and Azerbaijan.
The programme will include a number of interactive sessions, discussions with Azerbaijani and European trainers, and socialising activities. The application deadline is 29 July. More information on how to apply can be found on the website of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan.
The EU-focused summer school is organised in Azerbaijan within the framework of the ‘Young European Neighbours’ network. The initiative was launched in 2016 by the ‘EU NEIGHBOURS east’ project and covers the EU’s Member States and the six Eastern Partner countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.
