Between 12 March and 12 April, the Ministry of Nature Protection of the Republic of Armenia is conducting its first public consultation on the water challenges of the river basin district.
Organised with support from the European Union Water Initiative Plus for the Eastern Partnership (EUWI+ 4 EaP) project, the consultations aim to seek the views of the public and key actors on the future of water in the basins of Lake Sevan and the Hrazdan River.
The one-month-long consultations will aim to collect important information on public concerns regarding water quality, challenges to biodiversity and water management. Anyone can leave feedback by filing out an online form on the EUWI+ website.
EUWI+ 4 EaP helps Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine to bring their legislation closer to EU policy in the field of water management, with a main focus on the management of trans-boundary river basins. It supports the development and implementation of pilot river basin management plans, building on the improved policy framework and ensuring strong participation among local stakeholders.
