Armenia: EU helps rehabilitate Yerevan Metro

On 30 November, the team of the EU Delegation to Armenia undertook a site visit to the Yerevan Metro to see the results of the extension of the drainage tunnel.

The construction is being carried out in the framework of the EU-supported Yerevan Metro Rehabilitation Project – Phase II, which was launched in 2016.

The total cost is €17.4 million and the duration is four years. The EU Neighbourhood Investment Facility (NIF) contribution is €5 million, in the form of a grant and technical assistance.

The project aims to improve the daily lives of the citizens of Yerevan by providing better infrastructure.
