ICMPD Policy Brief – What are the protection concerns for migrants and refugees in Libya?

This Policy Brief assesses the main protection concerns affecting migrants in Libya and migrants transiting through Libya to the EU. The protection concerns identified include: death; torture; physical violence; sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV); kidnapping for ransom; extortion; exploitation and human trafficking; basic survival issues; arbitrary detention; and detention conditions.

The Brief concludes with recommendations about how to respond.
