TunisiaTashbeek: working for a sustainable cultural scene in Jordan
An EU-funded project is working to build the capacities of cultural workers and associations in different parts of Jordan, ultimately creating a self sustainable network of individuals, associations and spaces that will collaborate and provide each other with support, creating artistic and cultural exchanges and dialogues throughout different cities and regions in Jordan.
The Tashbeek project received a grant under the EU-funded SouthMed CV project, and is being implemented in Jordan by associations from Jordan and Palestine.
Tashbeek launched a call for participation in May 2017 and received 248 applications from individuals working in culture, cultural associations, NGOS, and cultural departments in governmental institutions, based in all the different governorates of Jordan, some of them working in very marginalised areas.
A total of 50 applicants will be selected to go through a capacity building programme composed of three sets of training: technical, artistic and managerial training, which will take place from July until November 2017, and which has been planned according to the needs expressed by the applicants and the requirements of the cultural scene in Jordan.
SouthMed CV is co-funded by the EU within the framework of the regional programme Med Culture.
