The EU-funded Net-Med Youth project supported the establishment of the first National Coalition of Youth Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) in partnership with the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD) and Princess Basma Youth Resource Center.

The Youth Coalition brings together over 60 likeminded youth organisations under one vision and one set of principles. A first experience for the country and for civil society alike. The Coalition will create programmes and develop partnerships in order to help create solutions for the challenges facing youth and civil society.

The Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD) is in charge of coordinating the activities of the coalition.

NET-MED Youth aims to improve the access and effective participation of young people in mainstreaming their priorities into legislation and national planning in the Southern Mediterranean Partner countries. Specifically, it aims to build the capacities of youth organisations in ENP South countries and to enhance networking among them in order to reduce the fragmentation of efforts and harness the collective potential of young people in achieving democratic transition towards active citizenship, political participation and social inclusion.
