The European Parliament offers several options for draining ships within that secretariat to provide the opportunity for learning more about what the European Parliament does. The three types of traineeships available are the general option, open to any candidate who meets the criteria; the journalism option, in which the applicant must proof her or his professional experience in journalistic activities; the Sakharov Prize option, which aims to enhance the knowledge of the European Parliament’s human rights work and international human rights standards. Applicants must be nationals of an EU member state or an applicant country, and must have thorough knowledge of one of the official languages of the EU. The trainee will receive a monthly stipend of € 1250.
