One volunteer in Habitat Jeunes Laval: The volunteer will have the possibility to participate in sport and cultural activities proposed by Habitat Jeunes and also animate with the animation team. The animation team is made of 6 members, 2 per residence. The volunteer could work 2 days a week from 10:00 to 18:00 and three days from 15.30 to 22:30. He/she could prepare, do some research and the animation.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
We preferred to choose an accommodation in a home for young workers (Habitat Jeunes) to facilitate the volunteers’ social integration. They will have their own room but they will share an apartment. They will be surrounded by (French and foreign) young people and will have the possibility to participate in sport and cultural activities proposed by Habitat Jeunes. In counterpart, the volunteers will be asked to respect the rules of the home: respecting schedules for meals (the volunteers can eat at the residence or cook themselves), avoiding making noise after 22:00, etc.
Training during the project
Throughout their EVS, the volunteers will benefit from French lessons (2-4 hours a week if they want) given at La Croix Rouge. Thanks to these lessons, the volunteers can acquire a good level of French, which will certainly be an asset for their careers.
