15 young people from Azerbaijan attended a EuroSchool that was held from 21-23 August in the country’s city of Shabran. Organised jointly by the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan and the EU Neighbours East communication project, the three-day event aimed to raise further awareness about the EU and its partnership with Azerbaijan among the country’s youth.
The event programme included a number of interactive sessions, discussions with local and foreign trainers, and socialising activities. The participants also had the chance to discover online sources of information about the EU, educational and exchange opportunities in Europe, and ways of engaging socially online. As seen from the photos posted on the EU Delegation’s Facebook page, they also had fun during the EuroSchool days.
The event was the second EU-focused summer school to be organised in Azerbaijan. It was supported in the framework of the ‘Young European Neighbours’ network, an EU initiative launched in 2016 covering the EU Member States and six Eastern Neighbourhood countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.
