Event in Brussels to discuss Ukraine’s new Energy Strategy and its input into European energy security

A discussion will be held in Brussels on 18 September to discuss Ukraine’s new Energy Strategy and Energy Security Strengthening Plan, which will run until 2035 and 2020 respectively. The event will aim to analyse the country’s goals in the energy sector outlined in its new energy policy, which is based on safety, energy efficiency and competitiveness and was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine a month ago.

The panellists will try to answer the following questions:

  • What are the purposes and priorities of the new Energy Strategy of Ukraine?
  • What are the main expected changes and outcomes of the proposed strategy? 
  • How could the enhanced energy security of Ukraine contribute to the strengthening of European energy security?
