EU-Ukraine Association Council to take place in Brussels on 8 December

The Association Council will meet in Brussels on 8 December to review the state of EU-Ukraine bilateral relations in the framework of the Eastern Partnership and European Neighbourhood Policy. It will take stock of progress in the implementation of the EU-Ukraine association agreement.

The Council is to examine the reform process in Ukraine, as part of the political dialogue and cooperation. It will discuss anti-corruption, as well as reforms of the judiciary.

It will also address the economic situation and EU cooperation with Ukraine, bilateral trade and the implementation of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) and review reforms in a number of areas, including finance, energy, health and education.

In addition, EU High Representative Federica Mogherini and Ukraine’s Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman will discuss developments related to the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as regional issues.
