The winners of a contest for the best coverage of EU project activities in Belarus received their awards from the Delegation of the European Union to Belarus on 12 April. The contest was dedicated to the launch of the euprojects.by thematic website, which offers a detailed presentation of over 400 projects currently implemented in Belarus with EU financial support.
Halina Sidarovich, Science and High School Unit Editor in the Nastaŭnickaya Gazeta, won the first prize in the Best Media Publication category for her publication "BSU Research Team in a Global European Project" about the EC Graphene Flagship Initiative. The project highlights opportunities that are a true breakthrough in nanotechnologies.
Another winner was Alena Berkutava-Vakhrameyeva, a special correspondent of the Belarus Radio Channel One, for a series of reports about the Clima-East project "Conservation and Sustainable Management of Peatlands in Belarus to Minimize Carbon Emissions and Help Ecosystems to Adapt to Climate Change" and the project for "Support to Local development in the Republic of Belarus".
The contest leaders will get an opportunity to attend a professional seminar in an EU country.
